Americans react to Obama's Nobel win

People in the US have been giving their reactions, and it seems not everyone agrees it was the right choice.

One man in New York said: “Gandhi struggled and fought and had hunger strikes for years, and then he (Obama) won the Nobel Prize. I think maybe they should have waited a little bit.” But of course many have no doubts it was the right choice. A man in Washington said: “This is a signal to the US by the rest of the world that indeed we did something very right in the election of Barack Obama.” In the Iranian capital, people have also been giving their reactions. One man in Tehran said: “In my opinion, when a person cooperates with and supports the Israeli regime, he does not deserve to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. It’s a mistake.” Another resident of Tehran said: “It’s not been long since Obama assumed office. Therefore it’s too soon to reach a conclusion about him. There should’ve been more evaluation before the prize was given to him.”
