Three French soldiers have died in Afghanistan adding to the 31 other French military deaths. The number is a fraction of the total coalition force mortalities which are close to one and a half thousand.
The three military deaths are being called ‘accidental’ and happened in the Aghanya valley, north of Kabul during a night operation. It was the second attack today. A roadside bomb targeting an Afghan cabinet minister exploded in the western city of Herat. The energy and water minister, Mohammad Ismail Khan, is a prominent anti-Taliban commander. He managed to escape the attack. However, 3 other people died.
