Jordanian arrested for Dallas bomb plot

The FBI has arrested a 19 year old Jordanian, accused of trying to bomb a skyscraper in central Dallas, Texas.

Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, who was living illegally in the US, is charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction on a 60 story glass office tower. The bomb was actually a fake explosive given to him by an undercover FBI agent. Officials say the case has no connection with 3 other major terrorism investigations underway in Colorado, New York and Illinois where on Thursday a Denver bus driver was arrested. Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan-born American immigrant is accused of acquiring bomb-making chemicals and plotting to set off these explosives in the U.S. Zazi is alleged to have received bomb-making training in Pakistan.
