Director John Hillcoat joined Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee for the Venice premiere of the much anticipated screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel, “The Road”. Set in a post apocalyptic world it is the story of The Man, Mortensen and The Boy, Smit-McPhee and their journey across a landscape, seared by some unnamed cataclysm that has all but destroyed civilisation.
