A body believed to be one of four British security guards who were seized by Shia militia in Baghdad in 2007 has been handed over to the authorities in Iraq.
A fifth man, computer engineer Peter Moore is still missing but believed to be alive. Last July the families of Alan McMenemy and Alec MacLachlan were told they were probably dead. That was a month after the bodies of Jason Swindlehurst and Jason Creswell were handed over. They had both been shot. The kidnappers had been demanding the release of militants in US custody. As America has been gradually closing its detention centres and handing over inmates there had been optimism that the hostages would be set free.
