Greece has been hit by two separate bombings. The biggest blast occurred outside the stock exchange in Athens early this morning. A telephone warning had been made to a newspaper beforehand. The area was evacuated, although one woman living nearby was slightly injured.
At around the same time another bomb went off near a government building in Thessaloniki, causing minor damage to buildings but no injuries.
The head of the Athens bourse which houses both the Greek and Cypriot stock exchanges, said despite the bombing today would be business as usual.
No-one has yet claimed responsibility for either explosion.
Leftist and anarchist groups have admitted carrying out several attacks against businesses and police and government offices since the police shooting of a teenager last December.
