Woodstock, described by Rolling stone magazine as one of the 50 moments that changed the history of Rock `n` Roll and defined a generation, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Saturday August 15 to Monday August 18 1969, half a million music lovers headed for a dairy farm in Bethal New York to take in three days of music, peace and love. 32 acts including Joan Baez, The Who, The Grateful Dead and Jimi Hendrix took to the stage. For those that went Woodstock is a cherished memory.
