Maliki urges Obama to invest in Iraq

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki takes an optimistic message to the White House today, urging investors to help rebuild his shattered country. Washington and Baghdad are keen to prove their relationship has moved to a new level, based on economic co-operation and trade rather than military force. The Iraqi government is actively courting foreign investment to resurrect an economy ruined by years of sanctions and war.
