Belfast youths pelt police with stones

Gangs of youths in the Ardoyne area of Belfast have hurled stones and petrol bombs at police in a third night of violence.

Clashes began on Monday following an Orange parade through a staunchly republican part of the city. Police were again attacked on Tuesday. Sinn Fein blame the rioting on dissident republicans. Detectives investigating a gun shot fired at police on Monday have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the incident.
