Euro zone inflation dips into negativity

Euro zone inflation has dipped into negative territory for the first time since it was created ten years ago. The EU’s statistics office, Eurostat says consumer prices in June fell year-on-year by 0.1 percent, slightly less than expected. The main factors are lower food and fuel prices. Analysts still expect the European Central Bank to keep its interest rate at 1 percent when it meets on Thursday.
