Search and rescue teams have reportedly recovered bodies after a passenger jet from Yemen crashed into the sea off the Comoro Islands in the Indian Ocean.
153 people are thought to have been on board the Airbus A310-300 aircraft, operated by Yemenia Airways. Reports say the plane crashed as it tried to land in bad weather. The aircraft was flying from Saana to Moroni, the capital of the main island of the Comoros archipelago. The passengers include French nationals who started their journey in Paris and residents from the Comoros. This is the second Airbus to crash into the sea this month. An Air France Airbus crashed into the Atlantic Ocean killing 228 people on June 1.
