Sombre protests as Iran victims mourned

A rally in Iran against what is alleged to have been a rigged election had a sombre atmosphere as protesters honoured eight people killed in the recent unrest.

Amateur video showed thousands of people filing quietly through the streets in stark contrast to previous violent demonstrations. The demonstrations are illegal and the city remains tense as the standoff between the government and the opposition continues.
