At least one person has been killed as gunmen opened fire at an opposition rally in Iran, where tens of thousands of reformist opposition supporters defied the Iranian government.Witnesses say many people have been wounded at the rally, which authorities had earlier tried to ban. The hardline Islamic Basij militia is said to have retaliated after being attacked by demonstrators. Defeated presidential candidate Mirhossein Mousavi is quoted as saying he is ready to take part in a new election. The Iranian Supreme Leader has ordered the watchdog Guardian Council to look into complaints of fraud after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was declared the winner of elections on Friday.
