A major policy speech from the Israeli Prime Minister is due to be delivered today.
Officials say Benjamin Netanyahu will outline his vision of how to advance the peace process with the Palestinians and the Arab world. Israel is under pressure from its main ally, Washington, to accept the idea of creating a Palestinian state. It is also under pressure to stop the building of new settlements. It is not known if Netanyahu will make any new proposals after putting himself at odds with President Obama.
