Centre right and protest parties win

Centre right parties are doing well in the EU elections, voters in France, Italy, Spain and Germany handing good results to centre right parties in those countries.

Protest parties such at the Swedish Pirate’s Party are also making gains, and Eurosceptic parties are also enjoying the count.  It is projected that 71 seats will go to non-aligned MEPs.  If they could band together and form a group, they would be the third largest group in the parliament but it is unlikely that they will do so as their ideas are so disparate, many of them even extreme.
