UK Services surge

Britain’s key services sector grew for the first time in a year in May.

From its record November low of 40.1 the 700 companies in the CIPS poll have bounced three points in a month to be at 51.7, easily beating forecasts. Business expectations also rose to their highest level since October 2007. Services account for around 38 percent of British economic output.
