World governments mobilise as flu spreads

Governments around the world are mobilising to prevent the spread of swine flu as the virus claims more lives and the World Health Organisastion raises its alert level.

New Zealand has confirmed three of eleven suspected cases and Israel has confirmed one. A number of other countries are testing suspected cases. 152 people are now repoorted to have died in Mexico where the outbreak originated. The WHO has lifted its pandemic alert to phase 4, indicating a deadly global outbreak is more likely.More about:
