Sony Ericsson cuts more workers

Two thousand more jobs are to go at Sony Ericsson.

The mobile phone maker will cut 20 percent of its workforce as poor sales led to a first-quarter pretax loss of 370 million euros. The Swedish-Japanese company did though say it sees signs of demand stabilising in the US and Europe Like its bigger rival Nokia, Sony Ericsson is predicting global handset sales will fall at least ten percent this year
