Commemorations are being held in Belgrade for the victims of the NATO bombing of Serbia.A one-minute silence has been held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Western military campaign to push Serb forces out of Kosovo. Ceremonies have been held in numerous Serbian cities. Ten years after the bombing and relations remain tense between Belgrade and Pristina. Belgrade totally rejects any notion of Kosovo’s independence, unilaterally declared in February last year. Many European Union countries and the US are among more than 50 nations that recognise a separate Kosovo.
