Netherland’s based financial group ING is asking hundreds of its staff to give back their bonus payments for last year.

At the same time the Dutch Finance Ministry is planning to crack down on bonuses at companies receiving government support which includes ING. And bosses at the third largest French bank – Societe Generale – have given up their stock options after President Nicolas Sarkozy called that a scandal. Societe Generale got 1.7 billion euros in aid from the Paris government.More about: ,
