Israel has announced the complete withdrawal of its forces from Gaza. Three days after Israel and Hamas announced separate ceasefires, the army said all troops had re-deployed to the Israeli side of the border. Most had left before President Obama was inaugurated in Washington, so as not to cloud the start of his term in office.
