Hamas fire rockets further into Israel


Hamas has continued to fire rockets into Israel penetrating even further into its territory.

The Israeli town of Gedera, some 45 kilometres north east of Gaza was hit. It’s the first time Hamas’ rockets have reached such a distance. A 3 month old baby was slightly injured by broken glass in the attack. Many Israeli’s back the offensive in Gaza. ‘‘I hope that what happens will continue until this is stopped, until they raise a white flag and I hope this will end this whole 8-year long period that has inflicted suffering on the residents of Sderot and the communities around Gaza,’‘ said this Israeli man. “I want to support the soldiers and commanders of the army, the defence minister and the government for the brave decision to finally enter and I hope that at the end of this operation we will finally have true calm, to the residents of the south,’‘ said another Israeli man. Israel has reportedly expanded its military operation into Gaza moving into the south of the coastal territory. The conflict has so far killed hundreds of Palestinians.
