Israel’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip continues.
The international community might be talking ceasefires, but Hamas rejects the whole notion of peace talks with Israel.
Hamas spokesman, Fawzi Barhoum said: “Regarding talks to stop the fighting, it is a matter of bargaining between the victim and the executioner. What’s needed immediately is for the Arab and Islamic countries to unite and stop this aggression.”
Of the nearly 400 palestinians killed, 39 of them are children.
In Gaza, basic food supplies are running low and power cuts are affecting most of the territory. Hospitals are lacking essential medicines.
Up to 80 per cent of the population were already dependant on food aid now they fear a ground invasion.
