Despite torrential rain, protesters have taken to the streets of Athens once again to demonstrate over the shooting of a teenager by police earlier this month. Organisers say two separate rallies are taking place with both expected to converge on the Greek capital’s parliament later today. In the 13th day of protests, the demonstrators are calling for action across the rest of Europe. Much of the unrest stems from wider resentment over the government’s economic reforms. The police officer accused of firing the fatal shot which killed teenager Alex Grigoropoulos has been charged with murder pending trial. A fellow officer has also been charged as an accomplice.
