John McCain spent the day in Virginia and Pennsylvania, looking to inspire Republicans to go out and vote. Virginia usually backs the Republican’s but appears to be siding with the Democrat.
However, McCain continues to push his presidential credentials. He said: “The other day, he (Obama) said that his primary victory vindicated his faith in America. My country has never had to prove anything to me. I’ve always had faith in it. If I’m elected president, I’ll fight to shake up Washington, take America in a new direction, from my first day in office to my last, and I’m not afraid to fight.”
McCain and his aides see signs of hope as some public opinion polls claim Obama’s lead has dipped slightly.
Meanwhile, McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin, fell victim to a hoax call by the Canadian radio comedy duo “The Masked Avengers.” Palin’s office quickly admitted they were well and truly hoodwinked, taking a call they thought to be from the French President.
