Business booms in US presidential products

Presidential products are all the rage as Americans prepare to cast their ballots.

Whether it is quenching your thirst or keeping up with fashion, you can endorse your chosen candidate at the same time. From spicy sauce to more traditional merchandise like mugs and badges, business is booming.

Barack Obama boxer briefs are said to be selling particularly well! And, although you might not get very far, you could try paying for them with some fake Obama money!

On the Republican side, New Yorkers, we are told, are snapping up Sarah Palin-style wigs,

Gail Rosenzweig, a hair stylist at “Georgie Wigs” in Brooklyn, said: “At least 50 percent of my clients are asking for some sort of, or using, Sarah Palin as some sort of reference and asking for some portion of her style, because it is such a classy look, because it transfers to any face.”

Customers are apparently following the craze, regardless of their political leanings.

Meanwhile, with Halloween approaching, forget the traditional ghosts and goblins. In Brooklyn, pumpkin artist Hugh McMahon has been showing off his latest creations, featuring the faces of White House hopefuls Obama and McCain.
