Winter has Iceland well and truly in its grip but in the clubs of Rekjavik, music-lovers shugged off the cold at what’s been called the hippest long weekend on the festival calendar. Born in 1999, the annual Iceland Airwaves festival has welcomed acts such as Fat Boy Slim, the Hives, Suede and, of course, Bjork.
