EADS expands restructuring


The European planemaker Airbus has announced plans to build a components factory in Tunisia.

It is part of an expanded restructuring plan which includes one billion euros worth of additional cuts spread across its parent company EADS.

Chief Executive Louis Gallois also said EADS is looking at making acquisitions in the US market.

Shares of EADS rose after Natixis raised its rating because of the stronger dollar.
