Plane crash in Kyrgyzstan 100 feared dead

A passenger plane has crashed shortly after take-off in the former Soviet Republic of Kyrgyzstan.

The accident happened at the capital Bishkek’s Manas Airport with around 123 people on-board.

The Russian interfax news agency reported the Boeing 737 owned by airline Itek-air was bound for Iran.

According to those at the crash site firefighters are at the scene battling the blaze and medical teams are on hand to help with casualties.
