Biden lends weight to Obama campaign

world news

Joe Biden is the perfect counter to anyone who claims Barack Obama is thin on experience. He has been the senator from Delaware since February 1973, when he became the fifth youngest senator in the United States.

As chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he can bring the real executive experience which some say would be lacking from an Obama presidency. Foreign policy has become ever more prominent in the presidential campaign in recent days, with the resignation of Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf, and the war in Georgia.

In fact, 65 year old senator Joe Biden was in Georgia before the Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, at the request of President Saakashvili.
