Algerian police base bomb kills 43

A bomb attack in Algeria has killed 43 people and wounded 38. The interior ministry said the blast targetted a paramilitary police training facility 50 kilometres east of the capital, Algiers.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

In recent months the mountainous region east of Algiers has seen numerous attacks by al Qaeda’s north Africa wing.
