Lufthansa said it had to cancel 200 flights on Monday because of a 24-hour strike by pilots on its CityLine and Eurowings regional carriers.
The walkout is in a dispute over pay and follows a breakdown in negotiations between the pilot’s union and the airline.
Separate pay talks are due to resume on Wednesday between Lufthansa and the union representing its ground staff and cabin crews after they earlier failed to reach a deal. They are threatening to strike again after walkouts last week.
