Bulldozer attack in W. Jerusalem kills at least 3

At least three people have been reported killed and dozens injured, after a Palestinian drove a bulldozer into a bus and several cars in West Jerusalem.

A police officer reportedly shot the driver dead after a struggle took place in the vehicle’s cab.

Emergency services say the driver was a resident of Arab East Jerusalem.

A video showed the incident took place on Jaffa Road, one of the Jewish suburb’s main streets.

A person saying he belonged to a little-known group called the “Brigade of free men of Galilee” has called a news agency, claiming responsibility for the attack.

But that claim hasn’t been confirmed.

The same group is believed to have been behind the last incident in West Jerusalem in March, when a gunman killed eight students in a religious school, before he was shot dead himself.

Emergency services say seven people were critically injured in today’s attack- one of them a baby who was in the commuter bus.

At least three other vehicles have been damaged.
A van had its entire front section crushed.

The incident comes nearly two weeks into a ceasefire between Israel and the Hamas Islamist group in the Gaza Strip.
