At least four people are feared dead after a ferry sank in the central Philippines. The Princess of the stars got into trouble after being battered by huge Typhoon waves.

Carrying over seven hundred passengers and crew it’s still unclear how many people have managed to escape.

So far, Typhoon Fengshen is believed to have killed at least fifty nine people and caused widespread damage across the Philippines

With winds of up to 195 Kilometres per hour the Typhoon has torn up trees and power lines across the country.

Fengshen is the sixth typhoon to hit the Philippines this year triggering mass flooding.

Illegal logging has been blamed for making floods worse.

In 1991, more than five thousand people died in floodwaters triggered by a typhoon.
