Truck drivers in France are blocking roads as the protests against soaring fuel prices continue.
The truckers are expected to be joined by farmers and taxi drivers as protests are planned in Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Toulon.
The drivers want low-cost diesel reserved for professional users.
Gilles Mathelie-Guinlet from the European Road Transport Organisation said: “Today we are waiting for concrete answers from the government over the demands we put to them last week. We need answers on the cash needed by companies in order to keep working. By the end of the year we want a professional fuel rate.”
The fuel protests have spread all over Europe and show no sign of abating with fishermen, farmers, truck drivers and taxis staging disruptive demonstrations in search of government concessions.
