With the majority of the votes counted, monitors say Serbia’s pro-European Union parties have won a “very convincing victory” over anti-EU nationalists but are short of a governing majority. Tadic’s Democratic Party and its two smaller allies are thought to have 39 per cent of the vote, versus 28.6 per cent for the nationalist Radicals of opposition leader Tomislav Nikolic.
