Former mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani suffered a severe blow to his presidential aspirations by finishing a distant third in the Republican´s Florida primary. Giuliani staked his entire campaign on Florida and his defeat may signal his withdrawal for the race.
“I believe that our party will be stronger as a result of the contest we are going through. But win or loose our work is not done because leaders dream of a better future and then help bring it into reality,” he said.
Giuliani now is expected to endorse John McCain as the Republican presidential candidate.
