Three dead in Paris fire

At least three women have been killed – including one who was pregnant – in a major fire in Paris. The blaze broke out in the early hours in the stairwell of a block of flats next to a hotel described as a family refuge. Around ten more people were injured in the fire, in the French capital’s tenth arrondissement. 150 firefighters tackled the flames, and evacuated residents from both buildings.
