Several buildings were set on fire. The jail is in a town in Russia’s Urals region of Sverdlovsk. Authorities say as well as those killed, 13 inmates were injured and 17 are still unaccounted for. It is understood the violence began when some prisoners refused to be put into solitary confinement.
