Hyderabad attacked as three bombs kill thirty-eight

Three bombs exploded within 10 minutes in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad killing at least 38 and wounding 70. Authorities say the blasts were due to terrorist activity. Three other devices were found across the city and defused. Hyderabad is one of India’s biggest cities and home to a large Muslim minority it has a history of violent clashes between Hindus and Muslims. One of the bombs went off at a steet food stall with two others planted in an amusement park. Indian police and security analysts have blamed Islamist militant groups in Pakistan for previous attacks and now say they are using hardline Indian Muslims in an attempt to cover-up their cross- border links. Cities across India have been put on high alert.
