100 days of fear and worry for Kate and Gerry McCann


Madeleine McCann went missing on May the third while on holiday with her family in the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz. She vanished just meters away from where her parents were dining. After police discovered an opened window and shutter in the flat, all evidence pointed to an abduction. The authorities have one official suspect a Britain Rober Murat. They have searched the house he shares with his mother on two occasions. The McCann family have engaged the media in a high profile campaign to find their missing daughter.

The great and the good from the world of sport and music have added their voices to the clarion call for her safe return. The couple flew to Rome and met with Pope Benedict they also took their plea to Madrid, Amsterdam and Berlin. On Friday the McCanns helped launch a new section on the YouTube website which will show footage of missing children. The Don’t You Forget About Me channel will be managed by the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in Washinton D.C.
