Separate bomb blasts in Iraq have killed at least 65 people and injured scores more. The first was a suicide car-bomb in the mainly Shi’ite Kerrada district of Baghdad. A few hours later, a fuel tanker exploded at a petrol station in the western Mansour district of the capital. Meanwhile, Washington has confirmed the death of three US soldiers in a bomb attack in Baghdad yesterday. Some 77 American soldiers lost their lives in Iraq in July, the lowest number of any month since last November. The country’s hopes for political stability have been dealt a further a blow after the main Sunni political block, the Accordance Front, withdrew from the Iraqi coalition government.
