Royal visit to British flood zone

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have been talking to residents in the areas of Britain hardest hit by recent flooding. Many parts of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire are still under water after last Friday’s deluge which saw a month’s worth of rain fall in just a few hours, causing the River Severn to break its banks. Up to 15,000 British homes have been damaged by the floods and hundreds of thousands of people are still without running tap water after treatment plants were themselves shut off. Insurers say the eventual cost could rise to up to 4.5 billion euros.
