Police hunt London bomb plotters

Anti-terror police have launched a huge manhunt for the people who planted two bombs in central London on Friday.

Officers are trawling through hours of CCTV footage with unconfirmed reports suggesting they have a crystal clear image of the suspect who left the Mercedes outside the Tiger Tiger club in Haymarket.

The British governments emergencies committee-codenamed, Cobra, has met for the second time in 48-hours.

Forensic teams are currently examining the metallic
green Mercedes parked near the Tiger Tiger nightclub and the blue Mercedes found at the Park Lane car pound.

Both vehicles were packed with petrol, gas cylinders and nails.

British newspaper The Times reports the police were issued with a 53-page document highlighting the danger to business of vehicle borne explosives two weeks ago.

Meanwhile the Metropolitan Police say they have reviewed security plans for a number of events in the capital this weekend including the Princess Diana concert at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
