Multi-millionaire jailbird Paris Hilton has left prison near Los Angeles after serving 22 days for drink driving. After serving just three days, the heiress to the world famous hotel chain was released by the county sheriff to serve her sentence under house arrest. She said she suffered from claustrophobia.
But the following day, the sentencing judge ruled the sheriff had overstepped his powers, and ordered the socialite back behind bars. The 26 year old was finally greeted by crowds of well-wishers, and her parents Kathy and Rick Hilton. The Los Angeles Times wrote that her 45 day sentence – cut because of good behaviour – far exceeded the sentences given to most inmates for similar offences.
