Tens of thousands of people have marched through Berlin as part of the city’s annual gay pride parade. Wearing colourful costumes, they took to the streets to dance, sing and celebrate gay and lesbian life. Despite the adverse weather conditions, some 60 floats joined in the parade, which was themed “diversity seeks work”. Participants called for greater equality in the workplace and in schools. The event is also held in various other cities across Europe.
