An investigation is underway after at least 10 people died in a fire at a retirement home in Russia. Several others were injured in the blaze at the state-run residence in Siberia. Around 300 people were evacuated safely from the building. It is not known what caused the fire in a village near the city of Omsk. It is the latest in a series at care facilities in the country. In March, 63 people died in a similar incident at a nursing home in the south west of the country. Last December, 45 women lost their lives in a fire at a drugs rehabilitation centre.
