G8 outlines plans to combat paedophilia

The G8 has vowed to increase efforts to combat the sexual exploitation of children by Internet pornographers. The G8 has been working with Interpol for a number of years to eradicate child porn and capture those responsible. However the message coming out of the summit was that international cooperation will be required to stamp out the problem. A review of child pornography laws last year in 184 Interpol-member countries showed that more than half have no laws specifically addressing child pornography and, in many others, existing laws were found to be insufficient.
