Palestinian militant group Hamas has threatened to renew its suicide bombing campaign against Israel, following this morning’s air raid on their Gaza headquarters that’s left at least one person dead. Thirty more people were injured in the raid which destroyed the Hamas quarters in the Rimal district of Gaza City.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office said the strike was a response to rocket attacks by Palestinian militants. Seventy rockets have hit Israel this week with Hamas’ armed wing claiming responsibility for launching many of them. A Hamas spokeman said the Israeli reprisals were a declaration of all out war and that martydom operations were being considered. The exchanges come in the context of an uneasy truce between Hamas and forces loyal to Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas.
