British police have arrested four people in connection with the July 7 bombings on London’s transport network in 2005, in which 52 people were killed. Officers from the Metropolitan police say two men and a woman have been detained in West Yorkshire in northern England.
A second woman was arrested in Birmingham in central England. The group is being held on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism. Last month the first people to be charged in connection with the bombings went on trial. The trio were remanded in custody until June 8.
